I was doing our quarterly reviews on major KPIs in the company and comparing them to others in our space.
The main one that stood out was a 96.4% client retention rate through the quarter which is better than anyone I’ve seen.
Wanted to send a newsletter here reflecting on how we’ve been able to achieve great retention numbers despite only doing month to month contracts and giving clients the ability to cancel with us any time.

Most agencies won’t talk about retention unless they’re hiding behind long-term contracts.
At Well Copy, we work month-to-month. Every 30 days, our clients decide if we’re still the best partner for their growth.
So when we say 96.4% of clients stayed with us in Q3, that isn’t luck. That’s trust earned every single week.
Here’s how we do it and how we give clients a reason to stay.
1. We Deliver Results. Period.
Our clients average 41% of total revenue coming from email and SMS.
That’s not a "win here, win there" thing… it’s consistent, compounding performance.
When your retention strategy prints revenue, you stick with the team running it.
That simple. Our results are just really good.
2. Relationships > Anything Else
You won’t find us disappearing between campaign sends.
We’re in the trenches every day – dropping wins in Slack, reviewing data together, celebrating the small stuff.
The kind of communication that feels like we are in-house. Because we kind of are.
We treat our client relationships as our #1 focus behind results. We care about our clients deeply and make sure we’re up to date on their personal life.
This works great for generating results to, because if we’re close to you as a person we’ll want to perform for you.
3. We Only Work With Brands We Can Win For.
We’re lucky, demand isn’t our problem. If we wanted to work with 50 new brands per month we geneuinly could.
But, we only bring on 8-12 new brands per month who are the best fits.
So we filter hard. If a brand isn’t a fit, we’ll say no.
This means for every client we do onboard, we’re confident we can help them grow.
And we do.
4. We Don’t Just Do the Work. We Show the ROI.
Lots of agencies actually do good work. But few actually show it properly.
Every client of ours gets weekly reporting, random ROI drops throughout the week, and full transparency on the results we are making them.
We don’t wait for QBRs to show value – we show it while it’s happening.
If you are always reporting on the results your work is making for the client, they have no choice but to come to the conclusion that you are worth the investment.
5. We’ve Built a Team Clients Actually Like.
Yes, we’re experts. But we’re also real people.
Chill, fun, and relentlessly committed to client success.
We hire for culture, not just skills.
Because if your account manager feels like a teammate, and they’re also getting 10/10 results, why would you ever leave?
Bottom line, our team is just really good.

Super easy to gather client success stats with your product, just send out a blast to your past buyers with a buyer survey. Then you can leverage those numbers everywhere.
Also, any scientific facts you can find. ChatGPT is good at finding these. Just look up "Scientific facts about xyz" and use them in your copy!
