Using Zaymo For Creating Interactive Emails

The Inbox Newsletter

Hey it's Max from The Inbox Newsletter.
Having worked with some of the biggest ecom brands out there, I'm a big believer that they aren't just scaling by hiring the best people… they're scaling by using the best technology.
Now you might think I'm talking about AI, but that's not it.
Today I'm sharing my favorite piece of tech we've been using across our brands this year that brings some of the best results…
Let's get into it!

The thing with traditional ecom email is that every single time you want a customer to take an action (buy, subscribe, review, whatever) you have to send them to your site.
That's fine, but then there's no getting around the friction of clicking through, waiting for a page to load, navigating your site, and checking out. Every extra step is a chance to lose the sale…
But imagine how much revenue you'd unlock if all that friction disappeared!
Just check these out as examples:
1) The Add-To-Order Email
This is an add-to-order email that lets a customer tap in a new product to their existing order without ever hitting your site.
It's usually a complementary product that pairs well with what they just ordered… And since the customer's still in that fresh post-purchase mindset, they're way more likely to think "I actually need this too" and add it on.

2) Subscription Upsell
Here's another one: a subscription upsell email offering a special deal to upgrade from monthly to quarterly right inside the email.
The customer's already paying you monthly so they clearly love the product, and most of the time the only thing stopping them from upgrading is the friction of digging through their account settings.
This email fixes that with a one-tap upgrade right from the inbox…

How The Email Looks
3) The Subscription Winback
And here's a subscription winback email that lets a cancelled subscriber reactivate their subscription with a special offer directly from the inbox.
Lapsed subscribers are your warmest possible lead since they've already bought from you and know the product well.
All they need is the right incentive to come back (discount, free gift, exclusive perk, etc.) and this email lets them accept the offer without ever leaving the inbox.

How The Email Looks
Where Else To Use It
The best part about interactive emails is that they go way beyond subscription plays too.
You can use these to:
Have subscribers buy inside the email: one-tap purchases that never hit your site
Collect reviews right in the inbox: star ratings + short reviews without clicking through to a review page
Run surveys inside the email: NPS, product feedback, or any survey data with one-tap responses
Basically anything you'd normally send subscribers to your site to do, you can now do inside the inbox.
This is through a tool called Zaymo… had to shout them out here.
We've been running them across a ton of our brands and the results have been awesome.
Highly recommend you check them out.
