The Easiest 10-Minute Pop-Up Fix Before Your Next Sale

You are going to be running a 4th of July Sale soon… right?
If so, you should be updating your email pop-up and core email flows to go along with it!

Lots of sales are about to hit this summer (Fourth of July, summer clearance, Labor Day, etc.), and most brands are about to let conversions and email sign-ups slip through the cracks because they forgot this one thing.
Takes 30 ~ish minutes to setup and is well worth it.
Let's break it down.
The Pop-Up Mismatch
Say you're running a 40% off Fourth of July sale and your site is pushing it everywhere.
But your pop-up form still says "10% off your first order."
Now you've got a problem.
A new visitor sees 40% off everywhere on your site... but then your pop-up offers them 10%??
That's confusing and frustrating, and you're capping new sign-ups at a worse offer than the one they could just grab on site anyway…
When a sale goes live, your pop-up needs to go with it.
Your form should instead say “40% OFF 4th Of July Sale!” and ask for the email.
40% sounds better than 10% OFF so your will get more sign-ups
You aren’t giving an extra 10% off which is going to save your margins
It is a more fluid customer experience
(Yes, the customer doesn’t need to opt-in to get the offer… but they don’t know that and they opt-in at a high rate!)

Pop-ups built to match the actual sale (Black Friday + Mother's Day).
The fix takes about 10 minutes:
Step 1: Swap the pop-up copy to match the sale. "Get 40% off, 4th of July Exclusive."
Step 2: Update the welcome flow the same way so the emails reinforce the offer the rest of the site is pushing.
Both are text-only changes… No design work needed.
Klaviyo also lets you schedule pop-ups and flows ahead of time, so you can set it up the week before and have it auto-switch the moment the sale launches.
And if you want to push it even further, scratch-off pop-ups work really well too.
The mystery of scratching to reveal the offer gets way more engagement than a typical static pop-up.
