At first glance, it looks pretty basic, but the real magic is in the ask…
Because you're going to tell subscribers to do 4 specific things in exchange for "early access" or "first dibs":
Move this email to your primary inbox
Star it
Reply with an emoji so we know you're in
Click the link below
Every single one of these 4 actions is a top-tier engagement signal that tells Gmail "these people LOVE this brand."
So when your actual sale email sends a few days later to your full list, you’re pushed straight to the primary inbox.
As a note, you don't actually have to give anyone "first dibs" or even track who replied…
Anyone who engaged with the teaser is going to see the actual sale email in their main inbox anyway, so you’re getting two wins for the price of one.
When To Send It
Any time you're about to blast your wider list with something important (product launches, sales, restocks, etc.)… Send this 2-5 days before!
