Quick Psychology Trick You Can Use In Your Emails

The Inbox Newsletter

Hey it’s Max from The Inbox Newsletter.
Today I want to share a quick psychology trick we use to pull more conversions on your emails without touching your actual offer.
Most brands think a flat campaign comes down to the offer or the audience, but the real difference is almost always just how the offer is framed in the copy.
Let’s get into it!

Increasing Your Perceived Value
If you want to pull more conversions on your emails without touching your offer, there’s actually a simple way to reframe how it’s read in the copy.
Now you can run the offer the standard way every other brand does… OR you can reframe it to actually make the subscriber feel like they’re getting a serious deal.
For example, take a line like this that a brand might run on a new product launch:
“Our new sleep stack is here. $67 for a 30-day supply. ”
Now that may be a solid offer on paper for the brand... but the way it is written is hurting their conversions.
It reads a bit basic and makes the subscriber immediately start running the math on whether $89 is worth it for a bottle of supplements.
Instead you can reframe it with something like this:
“NEW sleep stack special launch offer. As a thank you, I made a personal coupon for you,$2.23 a day for deeper sleep and sustained daily energy”
See the shift?
Nothing about the actual offer, price, or discount changed. The only thing that changed was the way the copy framed it to the subscriber.
Now in the subscriber’s POV, there’s 4 things working in favor of the conversion:
Way fewer numbers to parse: easier for the subscriber to actually comprehend what the deal is
“Personal” coupon wording: hits harder than a generic offer framing that every subscriber on the list gets
Price boiled down to a daily rate: “81 cents a day” lands way easier than “$24.25/mo instead of $97”
Core benefit right after the price: reconnects the subscriber to WHY the daily rate is worth paying in the first place
The way the offer gets framed in the copy is much more effective than whatever the actual numbers are on paper.
Try it out and see the lift it pulls on your next few sends!
