Creative Emails You Can Send For Your Ecom Brand

The Inbox Newsletter

Hey it's Max from The Inbox Newsletter.
I've been saving a bunch of emails I've come across in my box lately, and today I wanted to walk you through 5 of my favorite ones…
Plus what makes them so worth stealing for your own campaigns.
Let's get into it!

1) The Savings Sheet
This brand built out a full Excel-style savings sheet inside their email breaking down all the prices and totals like a real receipt.
Love this because it’s oddly satisfying to look at, feels custom, and forces the reader to actually sit with the offer instead of scrolling past it.
Steal this if you’re running a sale that involves stacking multiple discounts or wanting to push a bundle.

2) The GIF Teaser
Instead of writing a paragraph of copy explaining what's coming, animate it!
This brand used a GIF flashing customer comments one by one to build anticipation for their new product launch.
Smart because it keeps the reader locked in on the email longer than a normal static hero would, and the flashing comments is like a highlight reel of social proof.
Perfect for pre-launch teasers, waitlists, or any way where you're trying to build hype without saying too much.

3) Make Your Own Sale
Contrary to what your marketing calendar might tell you, you don't need a real holiday to run a big multi-day sale… You can literally just make one up and brand it around your company name lol.
Dr Squatch ran a 5-day event called "Squatchfest" and they gave away a different gift or promo every single day.
This is awesome because anticipation goes through the roof for your subscribers. They will open every day just to see what drop is next.
Great for slow months or when your list is getting numb to your usual sale emails. Doesn't matter what time of year you do this either!

4) Pick Your Impact At Checkout
This is one of my favorite emails I've seen, and it's because it taps into something universal: people love feeling like they're part of something bigger than themselves.
It's perfect because the customer feels like every dollar they spend is going towards a cause.
They walk away feeling amazing about your brand specifically, because YOU'RE the one giving them the chance to contribute in the first place.
Steal this if there's any real mission behind your products…

5) Give Them A Reason To Click
Gamifying is the #1 way to make your readers actually pause and engage with your emails.
This brand dropped a quiz question directly inside the email, and clicking through revealed the correct answer on a bridge landing page.
Running a recurring trivia section like this could seriously boost your open and click rates just because people genuinely want to know if they got the answer right.
