The Inbox Newsletter

Hey it’s Max from The Inbox Newsletter.
Right now, people are viewing your products and leaving without buying…
And most stores lack optimized systems to bring these customers back.
Let’s fix that with the Browse Abandoned Flow.
The Silent Sales Killer You're Probably Ignoring
Key Takeaways:
The Browse Abandon Flow targets users who viewed a product but didn’t add it to cart.
You need at least 3-4 strategic emails to bring shoppers back without spamming them.
Timing and personalization are critical, don’t wait too long or send generic content.
Turning off smart sending is key to maximizing reach with high-intent users.
The Flow Most Brands Sleep On
Everyone talks about abandoned cart and checkout flows, but the a forgotten middle child that recovers lots of revenue is the Browse Abandon Flow.
This is triggered when someone views a product but doesn’t add to cart or check out.
They showed clear intent, but something stopped them.
Now it’s our job to bring them back.
Setting Up the Flow in Klaviyo (Correctly)
Klaviyo’s built-in Browse Abandon template is a good start, but it needs tweaks to convert.
Use the “Viewed Product” metric as the trigger of the flow, but make sure to include these filters:
Checkout Started = 0 times since starting this flow
Placed Order = 0 times since starting this flow
Added to Cart = 0 times since starting this flow ← Most people forget this one.
Has Not Been in Flow in 30 Days
These will make sure your flows don’t overlap with each other.
Your 4-Email Game Plan
We’ve tested this across hundreds of brands.
Here’s what works the best in most cases:
Email 1 (1 hour delay)
Show the exact product they viewed (dynamic block).
Add strong social proof (testimonials).
Include “You might also like” product recs.
Email 2 (1 day later)
Reiterate the abandoned product.
Answer FAQs to ease objections.
Reinforce trust with more social proof.
Email 3 (1 day later)
Introduce a discount or offer (only if your margins allow).
Highlight urgency (“Low stock”, “Offer expires soon”).
Show the product + alternatives again.
Email 4 (1 day later)
Send a plain text email from the founder.
Make it feel personal.
Reiterate the offer with a clear CTA.

Don’t Forget These 2 Implementations
1. Turn OFF Smart Sending.
Klaviyo automatically has smart sending on your flow emails on, meaning if someone received another email from you in the last day they will be skipped from receiving the flow email. But even if someone viewed a product and bounced, this email needs to hit their inbox even if they got a campaign earlier. Don’t let Klaviyo block it.
2. Use Dynamic Content.
Pull in the product they viewed using Klaviyo variables. Bonus points for personalizing with their name or dynamically recommending similar items.
